Sara leaves for Madagascar next week. Yes this is a real place, and yes it does have Lemurs.
I have had a blackberry playbook for about a month or so. I can really only find one place that it's useful. If you are traveling and want to watch a movie it's nice.
I find it amazing to watch drummers live. They are the ones that carry the song, and they get zero credit for doing so.
The Flyers are currently in the second round against the Devils. If game 1 is any indication the Devils look overmatched.
Midnight in Paris - 8.1/10
The Avengers is out this weekend. It just looks like a big sugar cereal with no nutrients.
Why is it always hockey that has the racist comments. Again after Joel Ward scored the series winner against the Bruins twitter was swarming with narrow minded imbeciles.
Remember Nada Surf? Well they have a song called "When I was young" that is fantastic.
Well it looks like the hipsters are getting sick of the Jays again. This past Sunday they had 24,000 fans out.
Just because I don't like UFC doesn't mean I like men. Meatheads strike again.
Finally bought another bbq. Just a little mini one until the end of the season sales happen. Everything taste so much better coming off of the bbq.
I watched a bit of Howard the Duck recently. What was I thinking when I was younger? That movie is terrible.
Saw a McDonalds commercial that was trying to convince parents that if you give a few apple slices with your happy meal then it's automatically healthy.
Paul Holmgren is not up for GM of the Year. If you traded your two best and most popular players, and lost your best d-man at the start of the year and still finished with 104 points would you be considered a top GM? And Claude Giroux is not up for MVP. I hate the comment, well he wasn't the most valuable to his team. If you are fantastic player playing for a fantastic team should you be penalized that your team is good.
I have to give some props to FOX. They are allowing Fringe to finish up their season. I bash them to no end, but this time I will give them the digital version of a high five.
Sunday night dominates when it comes to the best shows. Mad Men, Amazing Race, Game of Thrones, and the Killing are all on Sunday nights. They should maybe share with other nights.

Watching the Flyers/Penguins series has been gorgeous so far. I am not sure if I would like it so much if I was a Pens fan, but being a Flyers fan it's been joyous so far.
I have never seen Sidney Crosby this rattled before. He usually always has the right thing to say, but in this series he looks like a whiny kid.
Klondike has a commercial where if you listen to your wife for 5 seconds you win a klondike bar. Is your wife that boring?
Watching Radiohead perform at Coachella. Not quite as an electric of a performance as I am used to.
Went to the first two Jays games of the year. Opening night was electric, but way too many hipsters there. I realize that it's cool to like the Jays again, but please know something about baseball before professing your love for the Jays.
Cabin in the Woods - 9.2/10
My original XBOX has given up finally. It will be laid to rest. Many good times playing NBA live 2005.
There have been an enormous amount of cheap shots in these NHL playoffs. It's mostly goons that are running at the heads of good players. And for how nasty the Flyers series has been I haven't seen any Flyers player throw cheap shots at the stars of the Penguins heads. Same can't be said about James Neal.
Big Bang Theory is losing steam at a massive pace. Community is now the show with the best geek humor.
Dudes cannot rock ponytails. It's not possible.
The weather has made a mockery of me. Had a chance to go golfing in nice weather, but it's 1000 mph winds made it difficult.
Witnessed the most beautiful leg kicks to Rasputin on the weekend. Thanks to Jeff and Dickie for the great show.
If you get a chance to go to Seneca Casino across the border at Niagara, you will enjoy free booze, $10.00 minimum tables instead of $25.00, and a much less busier casino. Sara and I had a great time there.
2007 reserve Merlot from Kacaba Winery in Niagara was unreal. $44.95 a bottle, but it's the best red I have tasted.
Just got finished reading "The Bullpen Gospels." I really dig the in depth look into minor league baseball. All you witness when you watch or read about baseball is on the major league level. It's a nice looking glass into what baseball is really about.

I was skeptical about it as the next Flyer fan, but I must say both trades for Richards and Carter have panned out beautifully so far. Jeff Carter is injury prone and well I still think Richards is a fantastic player, Wayne Simmonds has more points then him this year and he was the throw in. And none of the players are signed for the next decade as those two are.
Going to the falls for the Good Friday this coming weekend. Got a deal where it includes dinner for 2, $50.00 gift card for the Seneca Casino, and breakfast the next morning for $139.99.
I hate that little teaser regular season baseball game in Japan. It just gives me the taste then makes me wait for a week to get into the real thing.
So there is a Niagara Falls Comic Con this summer where you can have a picture in front of a green screened Bayside High with Screech Powers. Just be careful that he doesn't slip you a roofie.
Went to a nerd pub night recently in KW. It was pretty sweet. There were three speakers. A girl that went cross country with a falcon, a girl that explained how we can love both Star Wars and Star Trek. The last speaker was fantastic. He sent a helium balloon part way into space with a camera and was able to take pictures of the earth 18 KM above the earth's surface.
Watching the Leafs/Flyers game recently. Love the "Let's go Bluejays" chant in the middle of the game.
This is sad to say, but I think the Raptors have a brighter future then the Leafs do right now. At least they play hard every night.
.40 cent wings at the Fox and the Fiddle every Sunday and Wednesday. $6.00 for 15 wings. Can't go wrong.
The Flyers and the Penguins are going to meet in the first round this year. It looks like a series for the ages. The hatred is so beautiful between those two teams. It reminds me of Colorado and Detroit back in the day.
Don't let having kids erase your personality. I do not have kids so it's easy for me to say, but I can't see how you lose interest in everything else because you have children. And I know you don't have time for anything else already, so don't even try that excuse.
Poor Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they will be the next victim of Michael Bay.
Now do we realize the only reason that Michael Bay still makes movies is because he makes a profit? If we stop seeing these movies at the theater he wouldn't have a job.
I find it funny when people get offended by something said on the internet. There is no consequence with saying things online so don't take offense.
Polica - They are a beautiful spanish band that sounds like the female version of Jim James from My Morning Jacket. Have a listen it's fantastic.
Constant Gardner - 8.7/10
Now I will leave you with something that I love.

Question, if you are a NFL franchise and you just sign your mediocre quarterback to a two year extension above the three years he already has left. Would you bring in the most controversial quarterback of all time to back him up? The first pick that Sanchez throws there will be chants for Tebow.
Dare I say, the Toronto Blue Jays will be competing for the American League East. Not just the wildcard, the division.
So it's almost the time of year when I yell at the TV like a lunatic, and turn my liver into a punching bag. NHL playoffs are here.
Every year I donate $5.00 for every Flyer win to a charity. I suggest you do the same. Of course Leaf fans as par for the course pick another team to root for.
Mad Men is back, Game of Thrones soon, and Walking Dead just ended. There has been a lot of fantastic TV.
Hunger Games - 10/10
Green Lantern - 4.7/10
It's funny when a celebrity gets mad when their cell phone gets hacked. And all their scandalous pics are revealed. If you don't want your pictures to be found out don't take them with your phone. There is a hacked phone photos coming out each week. Heather Morris (Britney from Glee) was this weeks victim. I am pretty sure that there were quite a few happy guys and girls when it happened to Christina Hendricks though.
Had a tee-time today for golf. What happened 24 degree weather?
Ellison's Bistro tonight for some Caribbean food. If you haven't been there, there Jerk chicken is fantastic.
I hate that it's such a pain in a** to get to Toronto. You have to really make sure that what you are going to is worth while. Gas prices, traffic, food, more and more I just realize that it's not worth while.
New Battlestar Galactica spin off coming soon. Can't wait, saw the preview, looks great.
Hissing Cucaracha's is the best team name of all time.
Titanic 3D is coming out. College Daryl hates Titanic.
Going to a kegger this weekend. Haven't said that in at least 10 years.
Eating fish and chips always makes me feel like there is a football in the bottom of my stomach.
Chuck Taylor shoes go well with everything. Dr. Who has allowed me to wear them to weddings even.
It's weird seeing Alison Brie in Mad Men after seeing her character in Community. It's such a complete opposite role.

Why is nobody considering Erik Karlsson for MVP? I can't remember the last time that a d-man was this high in top scorers.
St. Patrick's Day lands on a Saturday this year. I feel sorry for anyone that works at a bar. It's going to be a mess that day.
Radiohead tickets were sold out in about a half hour. They sold out the around 50,000 seat downsview park where they had SARS fest. Going from seeing Caribou (who is opening for Radiohead) at the Starlight lounge with 15 other people 8 years ago to this is pretty amazing.
For how terrible the Raptors are they play hard every night and their coach is doing an amazing job with the players that they have.
I almost can't make fun of the Leafs now. They just look so lost out there every game. Where do they go from here?
Adventures of Tin Tin - 9.6/10
Top 3 movies that will make you dumber
3 - Jack and Jill
2 - Jackass
1 - Transformers
I find it funny talking to people that hated the movie "Drive." When I ask them why they hated it? The usual response is a pause then a confused look then the response. "It was too slow." Which means that they were expecting Fast and the Furious.
I feel greasy when I throw on Black Sabbath Mob Rules. Ronnie James Dio's voice drips with grease.
Reading the book "The Bullpen Gospels" if you want to read a book that doesn't Disney the life of a minor league ball player then check out this book.
Ipad 3 is out tomorrow. The difference from the Ipad 2 is that it's a little faster, and the camera is a little better. The unit is also thicker; because the battery is bigger.
Peyton Manning is a free agent. I would never thought this day would happen.
All caught up on the Walking Dead. Wow!! I didn't expect that...
Is anyone going to Ad Astra this year?
Going through the jungle requires a lot more bug spray next time. I am still getting over bites from who knows what.
BBQ busted over the winter. Need a new one, send me a message if you know of one for sale.
Golf or cottage, what have I missed more?

Got back from Panama and Costa Rica the other day. Trip was great, the highlight was sitting at a Rangers station in the dark and seeing a shadow of a creature tip-toeing right beside the picnic table we were sitting at. Turning on our head lamp hoping it wasn't some type of cat (jaguar or something similar) and realizing it was a tapir. Tapir is a mix between a big pig and a anteater.
My one and only injury occurred during trying to open a coconut. Threw it against some stairs and it came back quick and smashed me in the shin.
It took me 15 minutes to shave my beard.
The wedding in Arenal was gorgeous, I am very happy for Alana and Dave.
Best meal we had was a 6 course dinner in Bocos Del Toro. They started off with some gazpacho which was unreal, and topped it off with a wonderful steak. It was a nice anniversary meal that Sara's Mom took us out for.
We had a 3 day hike through the jungle of the Osa Peninsula. It wasn't as tough as the Colombia hike of last year, but there were some grueling parts of walking on the beach in 40 degree weather. We did about 16 hours of hiking over a 3 day period and I would say that I am in much better shape today then I was about a month ago.
On this hike we got to get up close and personal again with another Tapir, this time we were
close enough to pet it. They are very chilled animals, unless they have their children around. They were times when we were tired on the hike and we would just look up and see some monkey's on a tree some 3 feet above us just checking us out.
Walking sticks are the key to hiking in tough areas.
We also rented a cabin in the mountains of Panama for 3 nights. We got to cook our own food and do our own local hikes of the area. The highlight was sitting outside and having a kinkajou (it looks like a possum mixed with a teddy bear) start drinking from the sugar water that was meant for the hummingbirds. You could slice up some banana and the kinkajou would come right down and grab the banana with it's claws and go up to the roof eat it, throw the banana peel on the ground and come back for more. Sara's brother thought onion would be a great idea for the Kinkajou, but as everybody thought they don't like onion and it peed on Sara out of anger of the food.
Dried beans are the worst thing in history to cook.
Cacomistle (from the raccoon family) also liked the fruit and would come up on the bench we were sitting at and start enjoying the fruit we laid out. We named him Ringo. I am not sure if we named it because Ringo Starr just fed off the other Beatles like this Ringo did or not?
The trip was a great time, we enjoyed it quite a bit. We almost need a vacation from our vacation though.

Homemade Vegetable soup with cranberry/pumpkin bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and for the appetizer smoked cheddar with rosemary crackers. Now that's a meal.
If you are a big Radiohead fan, have a look at youtube for some concert footage. Radiohead doesn't care about the whole copyright garbage so they allow all of their concerts on youtube without pulling them down. You can find some wicked performances.
Went to the dentist today to get my cavities taken care of. Either I am a whole lot tougher now or dentists have much better technology to make it more comfortable to be there.
Currently I am compiling a list of my top 5 albums of all time. It's taken me years to perfect it, but I think I have it narrowed down to about 12 albums.
Saying Cheers after having a conversation with someone just seems classier then saying anything else.
This winter is confusing.
Sam Gagner had 8 points in one game recently. What the hell is that. This is the equivalent to Megan Fox winning an Oscar for best acting. Or Jason Statham not doing an action movie.
Drive 8.6/10
Walking Dead season 2 is fantastic. There is so many tense scenes in the show. I find the vibe similar to Game of Thrones.
If your sense of humor is to just quote movie and tv shows your whole life. You need to try harder. Also "that's what she said." It's done...
It's very difficult to pull off a top hat. I have thought about this forever. The only way you can do it is by wearing a black tux that has a tail.
U2 - most overrated band in the world.
Top 3 nerdiest things to do, but that are still awesome.
3 - Bowling
2 - Game Board Night
1 - Sci-fi Convention
Sometimes it's hard to remember what I have wrote in the past on here. I try not to repeat myself, but if I have. Well really I don't give a sh**, deal with it.
